History

Initially, Chinese people consumed Sushi in fermented fish mixed with vinegar, salt, and rice. The perfect technique was introduced in Tokyo during the year 1824. Chef Hanaya Yohei introduced the perfect technique. Later it was popularised throughout Japan after 1923. Sushi was also introduced to countries worldwide like the United States, UK, Canada, and Australia during the early part of the 1900s.

How to serve Sushi?

The ingredients in Sushi are mixed and rolled tightly into a cylindrical structure. The roll is then cut into bite-sized pieces for serving. This traditional dish is often combined with Eel sauce for an extensive taste. The Japanese introduced the Eel sauce. Similarly, other countries like the United States introduced garlic Mayo and Miso Mayo sauces to complement the sushi. You should not mix the wasabi paste with soy sauce. Instead, apply a dab of the wasabi paste and then dip it in soy sauce for eating.

Variations

The variations in Sushi are brought by introducing different types of raw meat. So it’s not just Eel, but there are also other raw food items like Salmon, Mackerel, and tuna that people can try out in Sushi rolls.  While eating sushi, go for the lighter fish initially and then move towards the fattier fish.
